CHALLENGE

Traction Media was asked to create lead generation campaigns to provide warm leads of potential tertiary students interested in studying a variety of courses at educational institutions throughout the UK, including London Metropolitan University, Southhampton Solent University, Ulster University, and Northumbria University.

Interested students had to be from EU countries only and match eight specific criteria points set by the client, QA Higher Education.

Solution

Social Media Lead Generation

  • Developed a new and unique dedicated brand to launch targeted social media advertising campaigns across Facebook and Instagram in seven EU countries.
  • Created GDPR-compliant lead generation ads that captured students’ interest and guided them to complete a detailed online form with opt-in elements, ensuring full compliance.
  • Focused on emotional engagement in ad copy and imagery, highlighting student aspirations and the client’s unique course benefits.

Lead Delivery

  • Delivered leads exclusively tailored to the client’s specifications, containing eight pre-agreed data points, such as nationality, academic qualifications, course interest, and contact preferences, to maximise conversion potential.
  • Ensured all leads were ‘very warm,’ thanks to high-quality data capture and immediate handoff to the client.
  • Uploaded leads directly into the client’s CRM for seamless integration with their sales funnel.

Adaptability and Communication

  • Conducted weekly business reviews to track lead performance, including metrics such as engagement rates and conversion to enrolment.
  • Adapted campaigns based on real-time feedback, such as increasing ad spend in high-performing countries like Germany and Poland while refining targeting in underperforming markets.
